He’s here, he’s there,
he’s everywhere,
the man with the boozer head,
the man made of smoke.

So near, but far,
he’s simmering in his car,
then shimmering like a star,
for hours and hours.

He tries to stay
but you can’t see him for most of the day,
can’t really hear him, but that’s his way.
The man’s made of smoke.

He’s up, he’s down,
the slightest breeze blows him around,
the heated air sends his eyes to the ground,
